ID Brand system v1.0
An identity that reads at Mach 25.
SKYLEAR's wordmark is drawn on an extended geometric italic, modelled on FP Head Pro Italic and set at a Bold weight. It is fast, confident and engineered. A heavier, rounded alternate after Nasalization serves hardware, livery and merchandise, where the mark has to survive distance, heat and paint.
01 Primary wordmark
SKYLEAR, italic Bold
Hand-built from strokes of one bold weight on a 14° slant with wide, square-shouldered forms. The flat apex of the A and the long S terminal set up the forward motion. Use it wherever the brand speaks first: digital, print, signage.
02 Alternate wordmark
SKYLEAR, set in Nasalization
Set in Nasalization Regular and outlined, with light tracking for logo use. It is extended and upright with soft corners, and the A drops its crossbar to become an open Λ, like a nose cone. Use it for airframe livery, engine casings, patches and anywhere the mark is seen from far away or stencilled.
03 Mark & lockups
The Ascent mark
A double-delta spaceplane seen from above, on the same 14° slant as the wordmark, breaking through an orbit ring. It says aircraft and spacecraft in one shape. It works as an app icon, a tail flash or a favicon.
04 Colour
Deep space, one cold glow, one spark
The palette is built from the navy of the upper atmosphere. Ion blue is the interactive and data colour. Ignition orange is for re-entry heat only: live status and warnings, never large areas.
Contrast on Void: Paper #EEF1F5 18.0:1 · Haze #B8C4D6 11.6:1 · Mist #8B9BB4 7.2:1 · Ion #9CC8FF 11.8:1. Every text pairing passes WCAG AA, and most pass AAA.
05 Typography
Engineered, not decorated
The type follows the reference sites. ICOMAT sets in Lay Grotesk, AIRCO in Suisse Int'l, and both are tight neo-grotesks. The CSS lists those licensed faces first, so once SKYLEAR licenses them they load automatically. Until then Geist and Geist Mono stand in, both free. Inter is never used.
06 Usage
Do & don't
About the source fonts: the alternate wordmark is real Nasalization, outlined under Typodermic's free Desktop License, which covers logos and branding. The font file is not shipped with the site. The primary wordmark is drawn in the style of FP Head Pro Italic (Bold weight; P_SW in the build script sets it), which is licensed through Adobe Fonts; set it in the real font and outline it for a pixel-exact master (see tools/build_logos.py).
